From to majestic mountains landscapes to crystal clear salt flats, these dreamy engagement photos can literally take your breath away. Elaine and Matt lived in California & Arizona, and knew they wanted to travel somewhere special for their engagement photos.  With the help of Tyler Rye Photography, they decided to travel to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Tyler Rye went above and beyond with these absolutely breathtaking photos, , making you feel as if they’ve stepped into heaven.

Utah is known for its skiing, mountains and wonderful views, “I was drawn to the Bonneville Salt Flats for its simplicity and beauty but above all I think the place is filled with powerful Christian metaphors like salt, light, and walking on water. I knew that every time I looked at our engagement photos, they would fill me with peace, remind me to hold onto faith, and serve as beautiful reminders of what Matt and I are called to be for each other and everyone around us. The barren, open landscape helps focus the attention on the two of us but also helps us realize how small we are in this amazing world.”

Not only was the destination picture perfect, Tyler made it look like an absolute fairytale. Tyler travels all around the globe to capture moments and memories for his clients. His portfolio is absolutely amazing, but Elaine and Matt’s photos are one of the best we’ve ever seen. “I also love that Tyler captured all the colors of the sunset and it looks like Matt and I are walking in the clouds. I imagine this is a small reflection of what heaven looks like… dancing in the clouds with the man I love. Finally I like to think these photos are representative of perfect timing.The day before and the day after these photos were taken the weather was not as cooperative. Too many clouds or too much sun can take away the reflections and colors we love so much in these photos.”

Elaine and Matt’s love is proof that timing is everything and no one is placed in someone’s life by accident. “I have to admit I was becoming impatient with God’s plan and timing and then Matt came into my life in an unexpected way at just the right time. There is no one better at taking photographs in epic locations like this than Tyler. Matt and I will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives. ” However, the best part of it all was that “… I got a chance to wear my mom’s dress and my sister’s wedding skirt on top of it! Two of the most important women in my life are represented.” 

Life has unexpected twists and turns, but their relationship helps us believe that love is limitless and proof that timing is everything.
